Written by a guide: Events of the past days, remarks, opinions

On the opening day, except for some groups, many people just paid a flying visit. We were not able to accurately measure the number of visitors because the counter and the access control system were not yet in operation but the continuous visitations with smaller and larger gaps in between resulted in around 400 visitors.

Friday, as there was no major event organized in the house, passed much more quietly. Fewer than 100 guests have visited the exhibition on this day…

Sunday was the peak. Thousands of children and parents visited the Agora. The exhibition attendance has grown by leaps and bounds. People kept coming in continuously, therefore it was not possible to keep the schedule of guided tours. For this reason we could learn at least that the exhibition worked relatively well “self-propelled”. According to my estimates, the number of visitors was between 700 and 800 people on that day. There most certainly was no stopping, we needed to be in the exhibition space all the time to assist visitors as much as possible: we told them about the machines, the working hours, the operation of the Agora, and explained how to use the touch screen devices.

Feedbacks that I heard:

The visitors’ reviews are very positive. Among the children the most popular exhibits are the call centre, the Ladybird and the Surface. They watch and use these tools with an incredible joy.

The adults look with admiration at everything, but for them, too the Ladybird is the greatest attraction.
