On 5 February the National Museum of Computing (www.tnmoc.org) in the UK celebrated the 70th “birthday” of the legendary Colossus, which played a significant role in World War Two. The celebration took place in the equally legendary Bletchley Park.
The rebuilt version of Colossus was presented to the public on 15 November 2007, and the machine is still the favourite exhibit of a great number of visitors.
The birthday celebration was attended by WWII veterans and prominent figures in British computer science.
