Visitor news March 2013

Between the 4th and 11th of March, 2013, the Computer Exhibition received a number of groups outside the normal opening hours.

16 students from Aba (in Fejér county), and 23 from the Petőfi Sándor Grammar School in Mezőberény came to visit the exhibition as part of their class excursion programmes.

30 senior citizens came from the Röszke Telehouse, and the reception of school groups also continued: this time 28 visitors came from the Déri Miksa Technical School in Szeged.

During the next week, the computer exhibition had visitor groups on two separate days: first the students of the Gábor Dénes Technical School, then on the 13th of March, from noon to 3 in the afternoon, the participants of the Quiz Competition for Seniors in the Agora.

On the 16th of March, after the 45-year anniversary concert of the Bartók Choir, approximately 25 choir members attended the computer exhibition. On the same day, the husband of one of the choir members and his grandchildren also came to visit the exhibition: the husband turned out to be one of the developers of the Primo computer. He was fascinated by what he saw.

Between the 18th and 24th of March, several groups visited the Computer Exhibition: The Gábor Dénes Technical School from Szeged (30 persons), Ferenc Erkel Secondary School (10 persons), a group of 5 from the University of Szeged, Gyula Juhász Primary School of SZTE (10 persons), Miksa Déri Secondary School from Szeged (27 persons), College of the City of Szeged, Ortutay College (22 persons). Within the framework of a cross border program, 110 people from Szabadka visited the exhibition. The participants of the Talent Day received a free admission after the gala and 15-20 of them used this opportunity.

On the last week of March, two groups visited the exhibition in the framework of “irregular” physics lessons (26 people from the Déri Miksa Technical School, Szeged; and 35 people from Kiskunhalas).

On Tuesday the 26th, 10 Chinese university students learning in Europe had the chance to familiarize themselves with the history of computing. Also on Tuesday, 30 visitors attended the exhibition from the Cultural Conference of Szeged. On the 27th, within the framework of a TÁMOP programme, 40 students came to visit from the Primary School in Röszke, followed by 21 visitors from the City College of Szeged in the afternoon. On the 28th, the exhibition was open due to the Easter Playhouse Day programmes, and in the afternoon a group of 20 arrived from the Training School of Mélykút.
